Dubai has been seeing a positive rise in the number of visitors in the first quarter of 2019 alone.  Alongside the traditional visitor markets, it has been noted that other visitor markets, which were previously less visible in the UAE, have also experienced substantial growth, as per an article published in May by the Travel & Tourism News Middle East (TTN) – click here to read the full article.

According to TTN, which is reporting on figures received from the Expedia Group, French and Irish visitors to Dubai have increased by 40% year-on-year, with Swedish visitors not far behind at a 30% year-on-year growth. TTN attributes said growth to a number of factors: new government initiatives, both joint and individual initiatives by the various Emirates in the UAE; ease of visa formalities, particularly transit visas, and the frequency and reach of the various airlines flying into the UAE.

Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has also confirmed an overall growth from 6.09M visitors in 2018 to 6.26M visitors in 2019. Please click here to see the full report and demographics.
