A country that combines the desert, sea, mountains, and most recently, cosmopolitan cities that show off the greatness of what man-kind is capable of. The United Arab Emirates is on a path to show and prove that multi-cultures, multi-religions, different languages, tastes, designs, can all harmoniously melt in one place.
Consisting of seven Emirates, the UAE has a nice diversity for visitors and residents alike. The capital, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is the largest with a flair for the arts and luxury. The Louvre, the Guggenheim, the Zayed National Museum, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, all add up to the cultural wealth of Abu Dhabi. Let alone the luxury resorts and high-level entertainment at the Yas Island destination hosting the Formula 1 circuit and Ferrari world to name a few.
Dubai is considered to be the dynamic fast moving Emirate with projects and plans to vouch for it. With superb accessibility, the Expo, top hotels and conference facilities, the Emirate of Dubai makes it a delight to spend a holiday, attend a conference, or organize a complicated congress or an incentive trip.
Further north lies the Emirate of Sharjah. Named aptly for being to the east, “Al Shariqa – meaning the riser”, Sharjah is famous for its 30 some museums, world renown university and educational institutes, and also for the preservation of the Arabian and Islamic cultures.
Encircled by the Emirate of Sharjah, but with access to the sea, lies the small emirate of Ajman, a pretty small Emirate with world brands of hotels and nice beaches. Ajman is also know for its local fruit markets and the Dhow building expertise.
Umm Al Quwain is the next Emirate which is on the track of adding new developments to attract visitors. It is famous for the opportunities to base jump, learning how to fly and paragliding. Then comes Ras Al Khaimah, the next Emirate that impresses with its beaches, mountains, beautiful desert, and the local touch. Ras Al Khaimah is on the track to becoming the thrill and adventure enthusiasts’ destination with the longest zipline, the highest mountain in the UAE, and the abundance of watersports and activities in the desert.
Fujairah is the only Emirate on the Gulf of Oman, famous for its tranquil style for those seeking a few days away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
All in all, the seven Emirates of the UAE are all unique in their own way and yet are complimenting each other in tradition, road networks, top class hotels, and the diversity of sun sea and sand.
