With the announcement of the Sultanate of Oman welcoming back travelers from all over the world, please note below the steps to be taken prior to arrival:

  • Proof of vaccination with approved vaccines: Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-Astra Zeneca, Astra Zeneca-Covishield, Johnson & Johnson, Sinovac, Moderna, Sputnik V. and Sinopharm, to have been received at least 14 days before arrival into Oman,
  • A negative PCR test taken 96 hours prior to arrival (for flights of 8 hours and more) or 72 hours (for shorter flights),
  • Registration on the eMushrif Platform, where the vaccination certificate must be uploaded as well as the PCR test, both showing QR codes,
  • A valid international health insurance covering the cost of treatment for COVID-19 for a period of one month from the date of arrival.

Those arriving without a negative PCR test will be required to take a PCR test at the airport in Oman, which is payable by the traveler, and will also be required to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine as well as get a tracking bracelet that they will have to wear all the time.

Anyone below 18 years of age is exempt from having to show proof of vaccination or to take the PCR test.  Those who are unable to take the vaccine due to health conditions should have a valid medical report.

For non-vaccinated residents, we would encourage the travelers to check with the airline at the time of travel for updated information. Otherwise, please email us by clicking here and we will be happy to assist you.
